within memories I keep
| Uplifting |
my blues

yearning to fall asleep
| Dreaming |
of you

to you it’s all a game
looking for rumors to rearrange
words sharpened by bitterness and rage
on the hunt, baiting me into the cage
when I’m vulnerable you laugh in my face
lips compressed and curled back
Do you believe only one can be the best?
personal questions are easy to ask
reflecting on yourself is too much of a task
always ready to attack
Are you afraid of my honesty?
Do you hate that I don’t push back?

It has nothing to do with me
Maybe someday
we can be at peace

it snowed today and it reminded me of the space you left me with

cold
bitter
short lived
and
longing after
Your hair
brushing against my lips
Your eyes
lost in a golden eclipse

I went Home, to Rest

a deep slumber
in which time does not exist

a noise came from the thick grass
a sturdy voice Pulling me in
a gust of air swooped in, carrying the quiet thunder
a warmth filling my body again
